November 24, 2020 by Justice Rajee

This week I am joined by retired Assistant Chief Kevin Modica. Modica is an elder, friend, and a colleague in service here in Oregon. We discuss family, relationships, public safety and building a future we can be proud of. There is a lot here to pull from, so take your time and as always take the best for yourself.

Good Brothers Global Citizen

November 24, 2020 by Justice Rajee

In this episode the brothers dive into a conversation on global citizenship. Inspired by the documentary Anelka Misunderstood. Justice and Majestic step into the global identity of the African diaspora. The identity of Black people is a matter of intense debate right now in our society. We add our thoughts on the matter and caste concepts that are attached to folks of our common experience. Take the best part for yourself.

Good Brothers Summer School

November 24, 2020 by Justice Rajee

This is the middle of the summer lost tapes session on the coming school year. Things have changed since our recording, but relevant thoughts remain. Many districts are already in action at this time and colleges have opened their doors. These are unprecedented times. Be safe and take the best part for yourself.

Good Brothers Kamala Wave

November 24, 2020 by Justice Rajee

This week the Good Brothers talk two waves rolling out of the weekend. The minor WAP (Cardi-B and Megan the Stallion) wave and the big Kamala Wave. Kamala Harris was announced as the Democratic VP candidate and we want to walk into an early conversation on what that means in the moment. Discussion does not equal endorsement or the opposite. A major political season is heading our way and we are just scratching the surface. In any event as always take the best part for yourself.

Taking Ownership with Randal Wyatt

November 24, 2020 by Justice Rajee

Today I am joined by Randal Wyatt a Portland native, musician, and activist. I have had the pleasure to work with Randal in a professional capacity and enjoy his creative works as a performer. Randal has been in the torrent created when a call to action is met with an outpouring of compassion. Randal reached out for volunteers to repair homes, in hopes of helping our community. He was greeted with an outpouring of positive energy that has set his life on a new path. Listen to the episode and hear for yourself!

Good Brothers Rough Week

November 24, 2020 by Justice Rajee

This week was rough for our community here in Portland and I needed to make some space to share about it. Then we get into the impact of John Lewis and CT Vivian on all of our lives. We send our thoughts and love to all those in pain and experiencing the loss of a loved one. It is not trivial when our young die due to violence and we all have lost the opportunity of their life left unlived. Thank you for giving me the space to share my thoughts and may it make space for others to feel as they need to. Take the best part for yourself. Peace

Good Brothers Brother Kanye

November 24, 2020 by Justice Rajee

This episode we dive into the Kanye conundrum. Not that it is our job to solve anything about Kanye himself, but how we talk about his activity and what-not. This conversation was recorded prior to his first event in South Carolina. Kanye’s public behavior and his acknowledged mental health challenges have been a focus for the last decade. We decided to wade in to see if some understanding could be understood. Please take the best part for yourself.
