Ask Your Oldhead Pre-Election Energy

January 12, 2021 by Justice Rajee

In this election season tensions are high and the stakes appear to be even higher.  Elections change strategy and priorities. They do not remove the underlying issues that impact our communities and that we care about. I was able to wrangle four Black men that I have coordinated community work with here in Portland, to share some thoughts and ideas. Thank you Cupid, CJ, Lakayana, and Modica for sharing your thoughts and perspectives.

Good Brothers Kamala Wave

November 24, 2020 by Justice Rajee

This week the Good Brothers talk two waves rolling out of the weekend. The minor WAP (Cardi-B and Megan the Stallion) wave and the big Kamala Wave. Kamala Harris was announced as the Democratic VP candidate and we want to walk into an early conversation on what that means in the moment. Discussion does not equal endorsement or the opposite. A major political season is heading our way and we are just scratching the surface. In any event as always take the best part for yourself.

Good Brothers A Week Later

September 13, 2020 by Justice Rajee

In this episode Majestic and Justice return to the realities of the week that was in the wake of the murder of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, and Ahmad Arbery. Protesters are in the streets demonstrating and disrupting the day to day comfort of those that would silence them as we record. We felt it was best to look over what has happened and how we are sitting with all of this. We move through the world in the ways we do and we wanted to bring you into ongoing thoughts we share. Please take the best part for yourself.

Public Engagement with Damon Isiah Turner

December 02, 2019 by Justice Rajee

On this episode of The Ask Your Oldhead Podcast I am joined by my man Damon Isiah Turner to discuss politics and political engagement. I brought Damon back to center politics prior to the coming political season. 2020 promises to be a challenging political season and I want to start working our way into the mix early. Often our discussion of politics is centered party affiliation and national elections, I invited Damon back to get into some of the other ways to show up publicly and have an impact on our community. There is so much more to know and do. Let this be a booster. If you want to learn more about Damon you can fly back to 2018 for our original interview. Thank you Damon for joining me again. Peace!
